About Us
A community campsite on the shores of Ägerisee since 1948.
Our History
Camping Unterägeri was founded on 11 March 1948, making it one of the oldest campgrounds in central Switzerland. Nestled beside the crystal-clear Ägerisee in the canton of Zug, we have been welcoming families, cyclists, and nature lovers for more than 75 years.
Who We Are
We operate as the Zelt Klub Zentralschweiz (ZKZS), a non-profit association. Day-to-day management is handled jointly by the business leadership and the site council, with a seven-member volunteer board overseeing the association.
Our community of members actively participates in maintaining the grounds — through events like Frondiensttag (volunteer day) and Holzertag (wood-cutting day) — ensuring the campsite remains a beautiful place for all guests.
Our Philosophy
Our core mission is to maintain a peaceful, family-oriented facility in harmony with nature. We keep the grounds quiet and well-maintained so that every guest can truly relax and connect with the beautiful Ägerital landscape.
Community Life
Throughout the year we host events that bring our camping community together:
- Kinderfest — children's festival in summer
- Camping Fest — our annual campsite celebration
- Lampion Umzug — lantern parade on Swiss National Day (1 August)
- Frondiensttag & Holzertag — volunteer maintenance days
- Boccia Tournament, Cinema Evenings, and more
